The best burger in the country and it is not especially close. Wet-aged Latvian beef smashed hard onto the plancha for the crust, American cheese, potato bun, their sauce. Order it plain the first time. Burgers and champagne, which sounds like a joke until you do it.

A wooden house in Āgenskalns doing the most carefully built burger in Rīga. Tiny, so it fills; go at six or wait. Worth crossing the bridge.

Exactly what the name says. The old-town answer to two in the morning, and considerably better than that job requires.

Smokehouse first, burger second — which means the brisket burger is the one to get. Avotu iela has quietly become the street to eat on.
